To emmulate the sultry, and high stakes nature of the story a magazine shoot concept was used as inspiration. References to both Dazed and Political Mags were taken to deliver an engaging and intriguing design.

Scarlett’s words wrap around readers in a way that leaves an imprint on their soul. The Brand Identity provides flexibility for genre change, while also staying true to who Scarlett as an author is.

Teach Me K-Pop by Kaenyn King is a light, fluffy love story about a Korean Singer and American English Teacher falling in love while living world’s apart. With the saturated romance market of illustrated covers, this refreshing cover and interior design pulls in a new direction allowing readers to experience the story at a deeper level, uncovering easter eggs (like the red *accents* string of fate) only once they’ve finished the book.

K:OS are a modern K-Pop Group, their sound is on a lighter side being enjoyable for all audiences. Their fans are called K:Otics, and tend to wear ‘Cat Ears’ or merchandise with ‘Cats’. It was a good challenge to incorporate this in the visual identity.

Lee Jaehyun is part of K:OS, widely known K-Pop Group. He is known to be described as ‘an angel, like an absolute ethereal being not of this earth’, and more perfect than ‘a slab of perfectly-shaped marble’. The vision of Jae is clear, in that he is seen to be otherworldly and this should be intertwined in his personal branding and custom perfume packaging, to evoke the feel of how ‘one-of-a-kind’ he truly is.
