Oleander
Oleander by Scarlett Drake is a re-telling of Great Expectations, shifting the focus on the romance and turning it MM. It’s a story powered with depth, tension, drama and a love affair for the ages. It was my task to take the heart of this story and power it into delivering a cover and formatting that would engage audiences beyond only picking up the book.

Embracing the past and new beginning
To help support the author announcing their book I created a Reel with edited images. The author LOVED one image in particular and felt it resonated perfectly with the story and from there our journey began.
Hand drawn and then vectorised Oleander flowers were an added touch to this novels design. It reflects the title literally, the beautiful yet poisonous love story, and also hints to one special moment in the story.
